One of the few exceptions to the smoking ban is for theatre, film, TV productions etc where the integrity of the piece requires a character to smoke. Clearly this was essential for the artistic content of the piece.
Whilst not a smoker myself I am currently in negotiations with a major film producer about a film set in a typical English bar. We will require extras to come round during licencing hours and be filmed buying drinks, chatting, smoking and generally doing what people do in pubs. It`s quite a long film so we`ll need lots of hours of footage. There has even been suggestion that as clothing fashion changes we`ll need to keep the cameras rolling during the whole production period, possibly several years, in order that the finished item still retains a contemporary feel

Light & bitter for the Southern Shandy drinkers amongst you to water down the taste a bit ! We`re doing Watneys Party 4`s & party 7`s as take-outs, pickled onions & pickled eggs for sale on the bar as well as locally produced pork scratchings.
