Ferrari 599 prices
Discussion
I am scounting around for a 599 and a bit confused about the prices. All the dealers state that there is a 3 year wait hence the 15% premium to list on nearly new cars, of which there are relatively many around. Is this all a smoke screen or what.
On pistonheads alone there are 8 to 10 cars with askingprices ranging from 235000 to 249000 on 6 months old cars all having done less than 2000 miles. Has somebody out there purchased a recent 599 and what are the sort of deals one can make.

Yep - spoke to two dealers over weekend - one who I know well and one who I've never dealt with. Both said they could get cars for late Spring (possibly) early summer (definately) '08. On that basis I would not be considering paying a premium, or even list for a used car.

That is exactly the impression I got when I called around. As soon as you mention, that you would consider speccing a new car they start getting very soft on asking price for the nearly new ones. I will continue my hunt and see where it takes me.
Pugsey, I guess by the number of new car you have gone through and successfully shifted for near to list after 6 months you must be considered an expert on asking prices on cars.

But one thing's for sure - this is the modern day 550/575 and will assuredly loose painfull amounts of money over the next few years and will one day (soon) be a stunning used buy. gunner said:

Hi gunnerI spoke to Adrian at Dick Lovett about a Grigio which was about 10 grand cheaper than most but I still think that this is too much. I think this is a case of hanging in.
