Adding NSFW to links please
Discussion
Can those with slightly dodgy websites in their profiles please add a NSFW for us - I just had a look at 5%'s profile and rather wished I knew where the link would take me, nothing about the URL indicates it would be an adult site so I now have some iffy pics on my work PC - opps. I have nothing against adult sites but would really rather not visit them from work as I don't want a talking to. Ta
What about having some kind of roll over link in threads which says NSFW when people have been posting pic of ladies in their underwear? So when someone posts a picture up, they have an option to tag it as NSFW, so the picture doesn't actually appear on the thread but would appear if you rolled over it.
An interesting idea...
The problem is people should put NSFW after a link post and they don't everytime, so they could ignore the new feature too. Also pictures straight in the forum that are of offensive nature need to be removed through several reasons:

True, so what about removing the option and making it compulsory before posting pictures? That would also eliminate the hugely annoying thing where people quote a post with a picture in it so it appears ad infinitum all the way down the page. The problem is people should put NSFW after a link post and they don't everytime, so they could ignore the new feature too. Re. the offensive pictures - you're right, but they often get left up and they not necessarily offensive, but also not the kind of stuff you want people to see over your shoulder at work.

On a related note, there have been a few requests for the option to turn off embedded images within threads. Some of us "work" in open plan offices you know The problem is people should put NSFW after a link post and they don't everytime, so they could ignore the new feature too. Not sure how easy that would be with the current architecture.

It's possible to do it via the browser, but more elegant to do it directly in pistonheads. The only real problem I have with the images in threads is that sometimes innocuous threads have images that would be intersting to explain if seen on screen in a work environment. No problem with the other images on the site such as the adverts etc...
