Stability improved
Discussion
Hi
Those who have a good memory will probably remember me whinging about my Griff's handling on bumpy roads over the last two years. Well, having finally got fed up with my spine being jarred whilst going to Le Man's this year, I have tried backing off the dampers all round (Gaz gold). I set them at 3 front and rear, but the back was way to floaty. I then set the front at 5 and the rear at 10. This is way down on the recommended, but it makes the car much more stable, and less effect of bumps smacking back through the steering. The compromise is that the steering is not so acute, but for 95% of the driving it is way better.
For all the non mad racing types, I would receommend it.

I found exactly the same thing, especially after I swapped the SO3s for Toyos which are also a bit more compliant. As well as smoothing out the bumps it's also a lot easier for an average driver like me to feel what the car is doing, seems more progessive, so I've got a lot more confidence especially in the wet. Good thing too this summer
