One of the toughest cars made, used watch out for general abuse and worn suspension, buy a properly historied example from 'proper' people and you wont go wrong

Double sunroofs can give grief and are expensive to fix so check there operation or if the cars got air check operation

Metric Tyres are a pain but easily solved with 15" BBS off ebay or 16" E39 Rims with hub rings

They still drive well.... better made than the E39

The very best late examples ought to be available for under £2500, Good ones from around £1400 up, if you intend running for a while I'd buy the very best you can as the premium isnt much

ok, good advice thanks, what about getting an lsd for it...does anyone make aftermarket ones, or is it just a case of using an m5 one? what are my options........an lsd is vital though.

LSD is optional only - and probably rather rare. I believe you can fit an LSD from other E32 or E34 BMWs though.

You may find one which was specced with LSD, but I looked at loads of E34 Tourings before I bought a 530iT in 2006, and only the car I actually purchased had one. It wasn't that which sealed the deal (special order paint and interior did that), but it was a pleasant bonus smile
