Love it ..."Like with all carbon fibre bodies it can chip, however it is really strong. You could hit it with a baseball bat and nothing would happen." Can a prospective buyer put this to the test ?
And £750 to increase a V8 to 500bhp ... R8 owners please form an orderly queue. biggrin

Not that I would want to buy, but can I be the one to test that theory?

I haven't got a baseball bat but do have a few thick lengths of old railway sleeper at the far end of the garden.

They are very old but still quite solid, if a little mossy and 'scenic' looking, ('erself reckons). I don't think they would be much further distressed by being battered into some carbon plastic stuff.

For a couple of hours or so.

Go on, let me test that theory, let me... that way the next person to own this remarkable object will know that it's been properly tested for bodywork strength!

"I'll never get the money back, I wont make a loss though, so no haggling"

Err so you are looking to get your money back then.

"I understand the car has £20K miles"

Twenty thousand pound miles eh? Thats some high running cost.

"I think it actually sounds better than the orriginal V12"

Agree it's a good replica, but, is it worth making a fuzz about it..? Just feel for the odd punter who will think he's buying an original one.

As for the comments on the engine... roflroflrofl

I have nothing against replicas in principle, but why oh why do so many owners try to justify them by claiming them to be better than the original? Who do they think they are kidding here? Replicas almost never look right, sound right, or convince anyone with real knowledge.
I was at a show recently, and amongst the other cars there was a Countach replica. Not a bad one in truth, but still there were many bits that were wrong on it. Anyway, I overheard a few people say on seeing mine: "there's another one of these back there", but I heard more say "Ah, here's a real one". One guy got talking to me whilst his young son looked at my car. His son said "there's another one of these here isn't there". I said "No, not really, the other one is pretend". He then started asking what the other one actually is. I was doing my best to respectfully explain that it is a kit made to look like a real one when his Dad piped up and said "the other one is a piece of scensoredt, son", Says it all about many peoples attitude to them really.

It's the little details that make a replica.
This one is quite near, but those front rims aretoo wide.
You can get a good real one for £40k these days, why bother with a replica?
that nice blue Anniversary has just sold at under £40k.

errrrr - NO IT HASN'T!!

The 'price' on the last version of the advert that's causing the previous owner some hair-rending stress was 'created' by some prankster being a smartass.

PH's advertising people might want to address that if only by deleting the advert asap!

...and I definitely agree with your question - why bother making or buying an obvious fake!?!?!?!
