can anyone recommend an IP Insurance product / company to protect a patent, and give me a rough idea of cost?

I thought once you had the patent granted - that was your protection and the patent office would take up any infringements?

Try Hiscox for IP Ins, I don't know about the Patent element though.

Unfortunately not, the patent (or a trade mark) simply gives you the right to prevent any third party from doing what you have claimed - enforcement is up to you.
