We are down near Weston this weekend and my mate sent me a link to say the Weston beach Races are on this weekend.

Has anybody been before?
Worth going?
Whats the best way to do it/get around? (Bearing in mind we are with the women & child)
costs?
Anybody going this year?
etc
etc.

Tim.

Its great! You have to be there for the start really - when all the bikes set off along the straight together. The nearerst thing I can think of to describe it is kind of like those old documentaries of herds of wildebeest thundering across the plains - it just seems to go on and on.

Guys, just a reminder that this weekend is the 25th Anniversary running of the Weston-Super-Mare Beach race so if you fancy some sand-borne mayhem then Weston is the place to be. It even looks like the weather may be half decent too.

Been there at least 12 times and marshalled for 10 of them (recovery truck), i recommend it for spectating, the track is very accessible unlike most enduro's, just be prepared to get sand everywhere.

As has been said the start on Sunday will be the one to watch, make sure you get down to the start line opposite the Tropicana and see 600+ bikes take off at once, i have held the bikes back a few times as a human fence....i can tell you that is not a good place to be ;-)

One word of warning though, traffic will be awfull, leave early or plan to have dinner and go out later, it can take 2hrs just to get back to the motorway ;-)

Sad, your allright, I got it wrong sorry, wish perhaps Id gone, would have been a quiet weekend and away from the dissapointed T.V. media. Did we all notice the Medias poor sportsmanship....No large pictures of the "ICEMAN " no write up of note, sad very sad. Re the game with an Oval Ball, is there anyone else in the team that represents Great Britain ? only Wilkinson. Media folk, funny people. any read our banter ? Knibbo.read
