Rubens to announce retirement this weekend.
Discussion
After his first season with nil points.
Like Coulthard he is too nice to ever win the WDC, but a shame to see him go when there are some far worse old lags and journeymen still on the grid.
This does pose interesting questions about the driver's market.
Honda 1-2 in the WDC after Alonso brings them his winning magic?

I am delighted to confirm that I am staying with Honda for 2008. When I came here in 2006, it was always my intention to develop a long-term relationship and help build a strong team together. 2007 has been tough so far but I believe we are heading in the right direction again. In addition to the great team we have already, there are some good new people coming on board and I have confidence that we will make progress now. Jenson and I have a great relationship together as team-mates and stability will be key as we look forward to the challenge of 2008. For now though, we have eight races remaining and that is where our focus lies

I dont believe it either.
My grandmother has talked about getting married to Ron Dennis.. I dont think its very likely to happen.

I hope he stays for at least another year.
Who? Ron Dennis or Rubens B?flattotheboards, is this something you need to share with the rest of the PH community?
I hope he does go! hes too old(and crap)to be racing in F1 anymore!
we need to make way for the next generation of talented young racing drivers.
i lost all respect for Rubens when he became Schumacher's pet(or bf, can't remember which?)and let him through at Austria 2002 on the last corner, last lap which makes me just thinking about it!
he should have had some balls, and went against the team! stood up for himself and have some self-respect! instead of acting like a baby!
Schumachers baby!

Rubens to announce retirement this weekend....from the race. Well he said he would and I heard him he over the radio announce it.
Rubens - "This f******g slow pile of useless s**t is on fire, I'm retiring from the race."
Pits - "..we'll get the extinguishers ready"
Rubens - "NO.....throw some petrol on it and just let the f*****g thing burn"

Rubens yesterday said:
“A disappointing end to a very hard season for us. Our position wasn’t looking too bad before I came in to make my second stop but unfortunately there was an engine problem and that ended my race early.
“I would like to say thank you to the whole team for the effort they have put in this year. It was been a very difficult experience but the team has done a lot of growing together and we will work very hard over the winter to improve our situation for next year.”

I tried to hit the website, but the link didn't work. Don't believe everything you read on websites; although it does seem clear that the internet is the sole source of information for you....rubystone said:

Barrichello is driving for Honda next year. The only reason why he won't be on the grid next season is if Honda choose/attempt to buy him out of his contract. I'd say (but have no concrete proof) that he'll retire at the end of next season.
