Yes - Use mine everyday! biggrin

Very practical, big boot to carry all your things and gives you a big smile everyday listening to the noise!

As long as you are ok getting 17-20mpg from your everyday car and the servicing costs etc then do it!

Considering buying a 2nd car for the winter at the moment as not sure what it will be like when it gets icy though....

Not really - they tend to fill up and splutter at about twenty feet.

I use mine daily, too.

They're great in the wet, very lively. Just be careful.

THANKS. Its not me wanting to drive one every day its my dad. I wanted to get a wide out look i have a 450 chimera and he has a 4.2 cerbera but is looking at the idea of a 450 chimera as a every day car. would you grow to hate it by driving it every day or is it smiles all the way.

The only thing that puts me off using my car daily is the servicing costs and mileage but then I have to remind myself that there's no point having it if I leave it in the garage. Depends on your daily commute basically, how far do you drive?

Driving in snow and rain is not much fun to be honest because you have to be so carefull.

To contradict what others have said.

I like my cars a bit hard core, but even a sprinkling of snow makes these cars litterally un-driveable in my experiance.
A fair point, but then our Diesel Passat estate is a bit of a monster when there is light snow as well.... Drivin' MS Daisy mode....

Another daily driver! Its fine in all weathers, not scary at all in the wet and is fine in snow and ice provided you use 3rd gear to start... As long as you have good tyres and a brain controlling your right foot, they are great cars to use every day!

yes it is. I used to drive mine to/from work and it was a fabulously reliable fun motor.
My only issue was wet weather handling - seemed such a shame to have all that potential on tap but no ability to use it.

My daily drive is a Chim 400 and it has been for the past few years. There have been a few minor issues (hole in rad, broken damper) and the immobiliser got temperamental. However, since having the immobiliser replaced by Carl Baker at www.tvruk.tv (which seems to be down right now) everything has been great.

I used a 400 chimaera as my only car for a couple of years. It can be done right through the winter, in fact the car will thank you for using it, and whatever - even the drive to work felt special.
