What TIV's were they fitted to as standard? Were they fitted to other car makes? Are they polished and lacqured in original form? Are they expensive to repair if kerbed and pitted? I see some newer Griffs. with them, so are they an aftermarket enhancement?

They were an option on the early griffs, and if in good condition are a gorgeous wheel.

If in shoddy condition, they look awful and date the car terribly.

They were also an option on the last 100 LE cars.

PXwheels.com offer them refurbed.
But, when I had mine, I was quoted £800 to refurb!!!!!!!

My mistake, I should have written it to show that the quote I had was before PXWheels existed, and was from another firm. And it was for a refurb not to buy.

PXWheels represents good value for money,if they had been in business when I had my wheels,I would have kept them.

However , PX wheels can take back the "silly boy" comment please......

A bit condescending.

I've got a 1993 Chim 4.3 that has the OZ split rims which I pretty much assume to have been on the car from new - never seen another Chim on them, though...

Are the centre caps that hide the wheel nuts ali. or plastic. Are the TVR badge inserts (plastic?) available to replace missing or damaged ones?

Ashamed to say we had an ocean haze chim with OZ's and they were mint - wish we'd have put standard alloys when we gave it back to the dealer as it was a lemon - M4 OMP was the reg - 4.0HC. Last I heard the delaer sold it to someone in Northampton who had it less time than us and also gave it back.
2 tone grey interior - nicest Chim I've ever seen but the engine was crap, or should that have been dealer - the service manager unfortunately is still active in TVR circles but we'd never go anywhere near them - he blamed the probl;ems on Andreas driving - W4n*er.
