Well it's a vintage 96 model in that nice shade of light metallic red, it only has the basic wheels, but the engine feels stronger than the previous one I had and feels much more planted on the motorway (must be the smaller wheels). It's not in the best of nick on the outside with a few stone chips on the bonnet and a couple of minor scratches on the body work. I had a spare filter from the last one I owned so I've popped this in and given it an oil change. Inside it's in good condition and all of the electrics work. It has a full comprehensive history as well which is always useful and it appears to have had quite a pampered life so far. Best thing was it was an absolute bargain, it was considerably cheaper than the previous one so hopefully it will be equally reliable, especially with the winter drawing in. I have my fingers crossed with the alarm though as previous experience tells me they can be a bit hit or miss, we'll see how it performs on this model..........

Jules.

ps for those interested I am now a proud Dad!!!! woohoo a baby boy we've called Jude. So you'll have to excuse some of my confusing and misleading recent / future posts!!!hehe

Congrats on both arrivals Julian.

Two reasons for sleepless nights biggrin

There's a couple of well priced cars close to me for sale at the moment.

Have you bought the one with the Black interior, by any chance ?

I thought Craigs stunning Cerb would have cracked you though, suprised by the choice of the 4.2... still, I guess you like the fun of the continual development? smile

Allright Nick,
All is not well, A tapping noise developed whist 'driving' on the motorway,
The engine is out and being repaired, nothing major think I picked up a small end.
I'm having the heads properly ported, and a few other bits, should make a bit more power once finished.
