Hello, you seem to be very experienced with the supercharger mods.
I have an RS4 at the moment, next year I am considering the VXR8 with the supercharger + electric switchable exaust and lowering springs, would you think the car needs anything else such as brakes up grade please?.

I was at Green's this week talking to Brian about his car. one thing we both agreed is that the car is definiatley not suffering with weak brakes (one of my few grumbles with the RS4 - the ceramic brakes are stunning but not cheap and front only. as for the M3 they might as well be made out of balsa wood)

unless you are doing serious track work I would say that they are more than adequate even with 600 bhp.

Didn't actually own a RS4 but had one for a long weekend that included a visit to a track (of course I didn't take it actually round the track cough cough ). They are great cars and I very nearly bought one (deposit cheque in hand so to speak) but the difference between the RS4 and VXR8 is very very small as both have pro's and con's over the other. In the end I decided that after the options I would need for the RS4 (ceramic brakes, sat nav, + few extras) it was going to be rolling in at just shy of 60k. 35k for the vxr8 meant that as good as the RS4 is it's not (in my view) 25k better than the Vauxhall. The final nail in the coffin for me re the RS4 was the fact it is now been discontinued and a facelifted A4 is due next year. The RS cars tend to hold their value best when they are available.

Also, the upgrade route with the supercharger for 6k gives 550-600 bhp for just over 40k. You just can't beat a bargin like that.

I have had no issue with the brakes running with a charger. They dont have quite the same 'feel' as the Monaro AP setup, but, work very well when called up on. I dont thing there is a larger disc/caliper upgrade at the moment, but, should one become available we will test it and report back.
