Hi,does anyone know of any companies that will insure for one day??

Im doing a trackday at oulton park next saturday BUT only want insurance for driving to oulton and back home (30 mins each way!)

I dont want insurance for the trackday itself.

Ive rang a lot of companies but no joy.

Anyone help....cheers

If the car is un-modified, http://www.dayinsure.com/  might cover you.

I usually type "short term insurance" in google and that brings a few... I think I used tempcover.com recentely... Can't say it's cheap (£12 per day), but surely simple enough...

Do you not have a 7 day or so cooling off period when taking out insurance with any company, during which time you can cancel the insurance and get your premium back, as long as you haven't had a prang?

They usually charge a £40-50 admin fee however.

Dayinsure should be much less than that, if they will do the 6 that is.

Not if it's within the 7 days cooling off period. At least not that I've ever heard.

Personally I wouldn't wanna go through the process of the quote, paying them, then trying to get my money back. Even though they do normally do 7 or 14 days "change your mind" policy...
