Do we care? F1 stinks anyway, at this point. Until they do away with wings, and reduce downforce enough to allow the sort of close following which is routine in all production racing, F1 will be a pathetic, worthless parade.

I think we care about losing the motor racing industry! Once the GP goes it's likely that the F1 spin-off will go into reverse.

Agreed it's no fun to watch, unless you know the personalities, cars, politics etc inside out (see Autosport!). For me there's nothing to beat MOTOGP and CART.
