The last 2 days iv spent 2 hrs in traffic covering 20 miles. Anyone fancy a blast in the morning(early) on some good roads? I only know a couple which are around Egham so id really like to follow someone else's good roads. If no one fancys it could they point out a good route from west London?

Im going to ask this in Porker as well as i never forget where i come from! smile

thanks

Recommend the A283 or A286 just out from SW London. Take the A3 out just past Guildford and then exit - both roads are superb, and if you take them all the way down to Goodwood, you can do a circuit - down on one, and back up on the other. Early morning and you should see the roads relatively empty and the countryside magnificent. They are a regular haunt of mine in the Tuscan...

Also try the Roads forum on here - it is only 75 miles from SW London to West Oxfordshire/Gloucs and some smashing roads as well.

Hi Bund

I think we have met before a couple of times (track day and at the Ace Cafe). I have a red/white GT3RS.

If you wanted to come north rather than west, I would be up for a run in the morning. If you are in the Ferrari, I will bring the GT.

I could meet at South Mimms services and we could head north on some good B roads.

Let me know.

How far north do you go ? I am in cambs and can head south. Fantastic day today racing bikers in the 991 cab, then got the 3200 out to meet a mate on his new R1. Saw silver Carrera GT getting hassled by RS4 avant, going opposite direction. Later on a black rapier flashed past me, chased it down to find a new 57 plaet lotus Europa, quick as you like and what a great noise. Happy days.

Furthest North I go when I am on one of my mainly "B" road runs is the A505 through Royston

I dont know if they showed it on TV but an Englishman lifted the trophy on Saturday.

As SA were preparing to get it presented to them, some bloke in an England shirt just walked up, seemingly out of nowhere, and picked up the trophy, kissed it and waved it around....before getting tackled by a load of stewards. hehe

Well Bund and others.

Subject to weather (to be judged at 22:00 hours on Saturday night), how about 8:30am at South Mimms services, this Sunday (the 28th).

Run out through Hertfordshire being back at South Mimms for 10:00am

Let me know if you are up for it.
