thats where it says the track details will be released midweek, probably on gamespot or IGN. If you dig around the forums enough you'll find motegi name mentioned, basically because it has a few track combinations and it was first show in Japan a couple weeks ago at Tokyo Game Show to a select group so it fits the bill

Oh, I've heard of Motegi.
That was the track I ended up B-speccing nearly every race and making a cup of tea instead on GT4, because actually driving it bored me to tears.
The speedway is quite fun, probably a bit more engaging than the Nissan track where you have to build an utter loonmobile before you even need to lift off.
Actually the whole track looks a bit better on Forza, it seems to have some (small) elevation changes that I don't remember from the GT4 variant.
I do wish they'd picked a different track though, it's too similar to what's already there with Mugello and the Test Track.

What an awful decision, if any track screams 'I was designed by committee' it's bloody Motegi
My personal feelings: It's too late. The original date of August would have been superb, but now were in the pre-xmas phases of being attacked by games from all angles. I'm surrounded by Halo, Orange Box, GT5P demo and in a weeks time (being in Japan) Mario Galaxy. The fact that it's a little steep at 600 points and I despise the track doesn't help its cause.

for anyone who hasnt seen it you can watch a video here http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/driving/forzamotors...
to be fair, i think its MS not forza guys who set the price, but i do agree its too expensive and i wont be buying it either.
I think this could be the end of forza's luck now cos its already competing for attention with PGR4, then NFS comes out next month, and there is supposed to be a new Burnout game too... so theyve really got their work cut out if their going to get that disc back in my machine any time soon

It's quite interesting to see the reaction here, compared to the official forum which is all, "zomg motegi drift."
It does seem a bit odd.
Why, when half the known universe is stuck into the Orange Box, release a flat, technical track for a game that, if anything, already has a surfeit of flat, technical tracks?
The only thing I can think of, assuming they know what they're doing, is that they want to release a pack not many people will download so they can iron out the bugs before bringing out the ones everybody is after.
Does downloading a new track add anything to career mode?
Perhaps they're just holding back because there's so much competition for attention at the moment; if they could hit with La Sarthe or an alpine/mountainous circuit (the latter is something the game is really crying out for, especially with all the classic supercars on show) in the slow New Year period, that would have a far bigger impact than lobbing it out now.

news just in, turn10 has convinced MS to reduce the price of the track already, down to 400 points. Still too much imo but atleast they recognise the poor reaction its gotten thus far
Where did you get the info from mate? IMO it should be 200 or free. 400 still way too expensive for such a similar track to the others.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

What a
ing joke. Seriously. One track.
