Well my temp sender arrived yesterday, so fitted the beast and started runing again.

Still a bit rough, but eventually found loose hose connections and perished rubber connecting the extra air valve. Replace with other pipe and now idles again.

Whilst off had a look at the air valve to see if the electricity connected actually did anything which it does not seem to, so moved it manually and it all springs back to a nearly closed position, so ok when wrn, but probably giving me some of my cold start roughness

Took it for a nice drive around town and loads of sports cars out in Reading, Ferrari's, Lotus Esprit, and even another TVR - Chimp. Seems to like the cold air a lot better this time of year smile

Hi Paul,

Glad you got it sorted. have you got the EAV bolted down now.

Even when cold the EAV only has a small opening.

have you not recieved the ones I posted yet.

I think they are delivering current mail, quicker then the back log stuff.

May be worth putting one bilt in, but the one buy the conector is a pain.

I'be put capped bolts in at they are easier to get to.

Can you recal what thread they are ? Looked like 8mm, but was too busy to rumage through shed for some, although might have found my long electric socket screws if I'd looked frown

Don't use 8mm on the block ..

Pretty sure it was UNC .. cant remember the size as I don't that the receipt to hand but it's similar to an M8.

An exhaust header bolt is the correct size !

Don't want to remove the exhaust bolts to fit the EAV, was going to use one long hose to bypass totally to see if it had any issues smile
