320d SE Touring E46

I'm hoping to look at a 320d Touring on Monday, I'm after common niggles on E46's and any reviews?

It's an 02 reg, with 75k miles in Dark Blue.

Sandstone leather, loads of top extras, and the 18" MV Sport alloys from factory.

Any opinions?

Yes, turbos can go bang on the 320d's although I think they realised this sometime in 2003 and changed the design.

Apparently this does not happen on the 330d's of any age, but I was advised to steer clear of any 320's before 2004 model year.

I ended up buying an 04 330d SE as it had zero options other than leather and met paint and was dirt cheap (£13700, August 2006)! Never had any problems with it.

One of my colleagues at work is just about to sell his navy blue 320d, I think its an 03 plate though. He used to work for BMW (Mini) so got it well cheap brand new through employee scheme.

I should imagine it has low miles and it really is in mint condition. That said, I am not sure if it is a 'pre redesign' or 'post redesign' in terms of the turbo.
