The much vaunted PROOF !!
Discussion
Due to a family bereavement , I have not been on here recently . However, despite that , I have been checking in occaisionally , and despite my abscence, and plentiful opportunities for our resident "Experts" to post their proof , there is a distinct lack of the evidence promised . Hopefully , this will be entirely my error , and a thread which has escaped my rare visits. If not, it just proves my previous thoughts and comments !!
Give me facts !! Not conjecture or rumour !!

I'm still trying to find time Neil, you and your dickhead friend can't find proof,so you leave it to others. We all know what the car is,we have talked to the original owner. You talk bullshit,i'm sick of it like the rest of the Wedge lads,YOU put proof up its not a 390 se!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.......and what "dickhead" friend would that be Steve? If you ,and the rest of the "wedge" mafia would care to check my past post's , at no time have I cast aspertions on any person . However, it would seem that at every opportunity , you , and another forum member are very quick to disparage other people.
In the business I work in , facts are everything , I ask for nothing else here.

... and I will go back to a much earlier post Steve. 668 was a 390 chassis pulled from production , it had a "SEAC" style body ( and full Kevlar body, unlike your old car ) so what does that make 668 ?

You prove to me it's not a 390 se,i will then prove to you what,JJ car is.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT ARAMID COMPOSITE !!
.....and here is the real point, which has been going on for many a year ,and I have an opinion about the Firefox, which I do not post as "Fact" , but comments which I have voiced on this forum previously.
No one, not you Steve, or another expert , nor Steve Heaths "Bible" know the full history , that is the point! So , for anyone to come on this forum and post "fact" because they have received hearsay evidence from an "OWNER" does not constitute fact. TVR's record keeping at that time was woeful. There is a huge gap in the history of the Firefox, I have some information, as I am sure you and Cuneus have, but I do not post it as gospel ,as I like you have no proof .
No person , should come on to a public forum , and attempt to belittle any other member , particularly when they are spouting unsubstantiated facts.
........with regard to my "dickhead" friend ( and I hope you can substantiate that comment) , I have met JJ twice , both times he has proved to be , in my opinion , an affable and reasonable character. A person who purchased a car at auction, and subsequently has endured the vitriolic abuse of certain members on this forum.
If you , and other members of this forum now wish to include me in this approbrium , feel free !! I can look at myself in the mirror every morning , without guilt or remorse.

MIKEYB
Oiy, I'm not an alcoholic I'm a drunk! - alcoholics go to meetings MIKEYB

Admitting you're a drunk is the first step, the second is going down the offie

Let me ask something NHYDE and feel free to call me out, slag me off about this as, personally, I couldnt care a rats left spudsack:
If you disagree so much with the things that people are saying about this car, then why come back online and open a thread which you KNOW full well is going to cause another ruck?
You know that there are people out there who have been trying to prove and disprove the provenance of the Firefox and you've become a warrior of the faith trying to back JJ out of some misguided sense of good, but then you openly piss petrol all over the situation once more by baiting the very people that you've been arguing with in the first place

I know that if Stainless had much free time on his hands when hes not working 18 hour days, then he could probably resolve the argument with some proof one way or t'other, but time is something that he doesnt have...I know this for a fact!
Tell you what, we're having a meeting next week at The Globe Inn (stainless' spot) why dont you come down and discuss it then?

IT'S ONLY A FRACKING CAR! - Calm down.
I have a lots of time for Neil, Stainless AND JJ, I have met all of you on a number of occasions and I fail to see what everybody is getting carried away about??!!.
TVR were not the best at keeping records at the best of time, especially from the long since distant past, therefore I seen no point in arguing if the car was a 390, 350i or SEAC or TR7 with a 'modified body' or anything else - what's the point? They are all odd ball one off's, there ain't one exactly the same.
If somebody wants to buy it then all they need be aware of that it is produced by a British company that produced bespoke low volume, hand built sports cars. The stickers on the back of cars this old don't mean diddly.
I was trying to follow Wyn in his '450/350i' today and I simply could not keep up as his was that fast! Did I care that his car is a 350 or 390 with a heavily modified engine? Did I frack, all I cared about was I was being left behind!
I might buy the yellow beastie myself, spray it Mica blue and put some 450SE stickers on it! - At least it will be quicker than my Grief!!
Get over it the lot of you.
