Hi there, no that was the dash light switch so someone's had a problem before.

The temp gauge is not known to be 100% accurate so it might be advisable to get a reading from an IR thermometer to check the 'real temps'

You need to check that everything's ok under the bonnet. (Both) fans working, Otter switch working ok,(check both by shorting the connections to the otter switch) if the fans then work suspect the otter switch. Then check thermostat working.

If all ok there try flushing the radiator. If the radiator's leaking then maybe get a recore and you can specify a higher spec like mine in copper and triple core( much cheaper than a new TVR one)

Next I'd suggest Dave Beer's two stage fan kit to start the fans at half speed at a lower temp to avoid overheating.

Would agree with all of above....in particular the Two stage cooling, works brilliantly (once all else in the chain is sorted as per the above).

Dave.

Mine has a fan switch on the right of wheel and an instrument light switch on the left. The buttons match. I don't have the handbook here, but IIRC, it lists an original otter over-ride button.

Another vote here for the two-stage fan kit. My cooling system is otherwise standard, but in good order. Even with air-con on, if I have a complaint it's cold running, not hot.
