im going upto the highlands at the end of next april for a 4 day driving holiday and just trying too sort accomadation out but wondered if there was any interest from you guys/girls joining me?

ive been in contact with a nice lodge in fort augustus next too loch ness and depending on length of stay amount of bookings we can get some group discount.

they charge £50 a day per person as it is now so for 4 nights we will be looking under £200 per person and ill try and nogotiate the best rates possible if people are interested.

im looking at doing this route at least once while up there

and will involve sampling the best roads in the uk like this

I would be interested but not sure I can do end of April. I think I'm still at work then.

What's the name of the place in Fort Augustus, I spent 6 years up there? Roads are brill, the back road to Inverness still makes me grin smile

Never stayed there but it was always regarded as one of the better hotels in the area. It's a walk into the village if you are looking for a pub but probably no more than 10 minutes or so. The village isn't that big, couple of pubs, couple of hotel bars in the centre but pretty good as a relaxing little place to chill at the end of the day and the views are great. The main thing is the regardless of what direction you go in you are never that far away from a good road route.
