How many miles would you expect to get out of a set of Bridgestone tyres on a car that has not been tracked. Looking at a car that looks like they only last 7000 miles - would this be right?

How long is a piece of string?

It all depends on how you drive the beast Mine lasted at least 15k.

That sounds more normal to me. I've seen another one mileage just short of 15000 which looks like it has just had new tyres. I was hoping your mileage was more normal I don't know how it has been driven so cannot assess that but I must now assume it has had serious track use?

With a charger I averaged circa 7k for rears. 10-15 seems to be the norm for most std cars, then it really is down to where and how it is driven.

I have about 12800 miles on mine and still going. They really depend on how driven, if like me not sideways then will last a little longer.

Some people here have been through about 3-4 sets in about 15K.

Cheers
Steven

But what is hard for a Monaro? This is a heavy car with loads of gee gee's I have just done 6,000 miles in mine and there is about 3K left in the rears, the fronts are hardly worn, so don't be too quick with your assumptions.

Oh, I am an old boy with grey hair by the way !!!

The wear seemed fairly even(swapped tyres round Iguess) but the outer edges of the fronts were pretty scuffed.I agree having given it some beens without the traction control it does behave like a tyre destruction machine, good fun though!!smokin
