Stalling on left hand bends !!

Have got a 52 plate A4 cabriolet with a weird problem. When you change down to take a tight left hand bend, the engine stalls and ESP and yellow triangle lights come on. Dip the clutch again and the engine fires back into life but warning lights remain on until engine switched off. Have recently replaced brake light sensor and fitted new throttle pedal and sensor but this hasn't made any difference. Local garage seem pretty sure it must be a wire snagging somewhere but unable to locate so far. Anybody had similar or got any ideas? Help would be much appreciated.
