Missing air flow meter..
Discussion
Whilst investigating the various differences between two nearly identical cars, I discovered that I don't have an air flow meter under the bonnet - the plenum is attached merely to 2 K&N filters. I suppose I must have noticed something different when I bought the car, but I've not noticed anything odd. Seems to go well enough and all that.. (Perhaps a little flat at times, but I'd put that down to flattened exhaust pipes..)
Question is, am I missing anything vital? Should I rush out and buy one, or leave it as it is? Vaguely understand what they do, but all seems well enough as it is..

The non-Cat cars use air flow meters and the Cat cars, use a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor.
