Suggestions please...Best place to find a gem of an E30?
Discussion
I've made the decision to sell the Z4 and get something a little more suited to daily use, current favourite is a 1 series diesel (been browsing the thread '1 series advice too!').
I'd really like to retain a fun weekend car and I was thinking that a 325i manual, coupe or saloon might be nice. I am used to looking for newer models and such, here or via Autotrader etc. A few nice examples have indeed appeared, but I wondered if someone could suggest suitable websites for the more classic range of cars, assuming that E30s are starting to be considered a 'modern classic'. No doubt there any enthusiast forums specific to the E30 or 3er, I'll do a search on google no doubt.
I don't think budget will stretch to an M3, I see some Italian 320iS for sale here too, don't know much about these in fact this search was the first I knew! It doesn't have to be a coupe, I'd go for a one owner 45k 320i auto at the right price in concours! I think the condition of the car is more important than the spec to me, and perhaps all the 325i's I might see have led the harder life?
So...Where to find a nice E30, really good nick, maybe even refurbished/restored, or only minor work needed to bring up to, say, show standard?
Needle, haystack or distinct possibility
Finally, what about an E21? Probably to be found in the same places as the E30 I guess.
Thanks
