hi,everyone need some help please, can anyone tell me if it is poss, to buy the bleeding screw assem, on the rad,of a 500 griff is there someone out there i can buy one from , just had rad out for recore, nice job,put it back in ,notice leak from bleed screw,the problem is when you tighten bleed screw up it loosen nut which screws into the rad, one goe,s clockwise the other is anti clockwise any help in getting hold of a new one would be great as it is looking a bit worn ,just aswell get a new one if i can many thanks paul

My retained nut came out of the rad a couple of months ago and I took it along to a local radiator repair place and they re-fitted it for 5 quid . . . Try your local guys I am sure they'll be able to sort it out . . .

Sounds like they didn't do a very good job on the recore, take it back & see what they say..

recore is great temp way down on what it was the bleed valve was down to me i did not tighten it so well as worried of over doing it to rad out again today made good ,ihope put rad back in just waiting for the water board to finnish their work out side my home so i can have my water back on to try it again fingers cross

If I understand correctly, the radiator is a modified Range Rover one.
Is the screw the OP is after a Rover part and therefore available from a LR dealer?

thanks to everyone for their help retaining nut nice and tight bleed valve o.k.run car for 20 min.s standing still temp did not move from 85,degree, once fan clicking in slightly earlier too many thanks again paul
