M Power Specialist - Watford area

Wondering if any of you nice chaps here can recommend a good independant specialist in the Watford / Rickmansworth area to look at my E46 M3 ?

My alternator went recently, and since being replaced I have had a string of irritating problems. So far I have had all the plugs & coils replaced, and subsequently one of the oxygen sensors by my local garage.

Whilst it now works, it sounds and feels as flat as a pancake and is lumpy on pick up. Although it will rev to the red line it feels laboured and has lost its ooomph. Fuel consumption seems a little off par too.

I just want it back to how it was as its not much fun to drive anymore.

Any recommendations on a good local specialist who can get straight to the route of the problem without fleecing me would be much appreciated.

Speak to Phil Crouch at CPC auto, he's on 07960 280 953 he is near Slough, but what you have to go for distance, you make up for in expertise. His knowledge is second to none.

never knew this was on my doorstep. i trek up to http://www.bmworx.co.uk/ in Stoke Mandeville - but they are excellent - wouldn't go anywhere else (they have a hire car available if you need it too)

I live about 500yds from Autobahn and never even knew it existed ! Looks like he's tucked away down the back of a quiet residential street.

Might drop in there tomorrow sometime. Anybody used him that could vouch for his skills before I go ? Failing that it looks like CPC come very well recommended too.

I had forgotten what it was like to be bantering on PH - it's been way too long. Problem is that my generous employer is clued up and has blocked various websites - PH included, so that just leaves the eves. Kind of kills the conversation a bit when you can only reply later in the day though !
