on following a recent thread on this subject, and looking for as close to a fit and forget type solution, I have been looking around for anyone who produces the manifold gaskets made in copper, thinking that this woud be the best material for the job.
anyone one here found someone who sells these?

Yes, do this Clive; get it sorted. In fact, as a fabricator, don't YOU have tooling for knocking them up? Actually, I may go about making a set up for myself as I guess you're incredibly busy trying to find a cup-holder solution I enquired about. . . . Nescafe Enhancements!

Cheeky sod!!! yes I am thinking of doing this Bruce, and it would probably take priority over your sodding cup holder as well!rofl

Give Cometic a call I'd say

A multilayer copper item laser cut would probably be best. That said I don't think there's much wrong with the std gaskets its just the fact the manifold bolts are a sod to do up and they work loose being a a duff UNC thread.

I'd suggest trying these things first

sorted some prices on making copper ones, and they wouldn`t be cheap I`m afraid, around £8 each plus vat, so might try the clever trevor type gaskets with the washers recommended by matt.

I've been told that LandRover used sleeves on the exhaust manifold mounting bolts to increase the stretch length so they cope with thermal expansion better. These sleeves are around half an inch long and I think you'd struggle to fit those with the TVR manifolds, but perhaps there's enough room for a few mm worth of washers. If you thin the only stretch comes from the manifold thickness, it probably wouldn't take much extra length to make a difference.

Any idea what size we need for the manifolds? I fancy trying a set of these as my bolts keep coming undone.

I have just ordered some of these, at first thought there was a minimum quantity of 200, but in 3/8 size you can buy these in quantities of 25 for around £8.

I used Nord-Lock washers on the manifold of my old Roadster Turbo, they worked a treat.
