Recommend anywhere for carb setup, Notts/Derbys

Hi everyone

Is anyone able to recommend anywhere in the Notts/Derbyshire/Mansfield area for setting up carbs. I could do with my Mini's SU HS4 checking and adjusting. The closer to the Alfreton / Eastwood area the better.

Maybe a bit off the mark, but Aston Engineering in Derby have a good reputation.

Peter Burgess automotive tuning is at Alfreton (station road?)and he has a rolling road. He's adjusted zillions of those carbs.

Another option is Surf Blue Garage in Giltbrook. They specialise in Minis and I use them regularly. Their telephone is 0115 938 9899

peter burgess is a very respected B series engine tuner so will be right at home fettling the SU carbs on your A series

I have also used Surf Blue for work on the Healey, Les knows his way around an SU carb or two !!

Just a quick update - I booked my car in with Peter Burgess who did a great job. My Mini runs loads better now plus I now have 40BHP at the wheels 10 extra than I had before. Will definitely be recommending him.
