Was making reasonable progress on the A16 (I think) and was flashed by a face on contraption on the central barrier. Two flashes not dissimilar to a Gatso type rhythm.

I think was at about 90 thingys which equates to an unlikely stop but a scamera field day if in UK.

Anyone have any theories or facts about chances of a follow up? I obviously had to stop for some thingy juice so pulled over fairly soon for a bit.

No issues at the Peage and also not convinced the second flash would have achieved much in the way of a clear picture as was virtually passed it when it went off. Would be a pretty clear first screen shot though...

Any help to pacify me would help at the moment?

Thanks in advance

I got flashed in France in June on the motorway, was doing 89mph (according to sat nav) the speed limit is 81mph. Never heard anything about it since.

The camera (if thats what it was) was in a quite large grey box just off the carriageway (ie not central reservation). Can't remember if it flashed once or twice though.

Some are on the hard shoulder, some on the central reservation. I got flashed twice in June, about 6 times in August and twice in September (although one of those was in Belgium). It is highly unlikely you will hear anything. At the moment there is no follow up procedure with foreign registered vehicles. This, in theory, is due to change soon with exchanges of information.

Another good reason for avoiding the ugly number plates with country markers. Unless the plate is obviously a UK one, what country are they going to follow it up through? I know a GB plate is supposed to be mandatory, but the magnetic one I had on in August came off (or was taken off) within the first couple of days of a 10 day holiday in France, Italy and Switzerland. Nobody took a blind bit of notice.....

Hmm. French speed cameras are digital of the Truvelo type. They don't flash. I'm a bit confused here.

Yes they certainly do flash. I got flashed three times on my last trip through France. OP should not worry about it, nothing will come of it.

One day I expect that will change.

I've had this too, never heard anything back. Forget about it.

Thanks for the reassuring comments. I hoped that would be the concensus.

Yep, flashed regularly there and never heard a thing.

Are they all live?

They're easy to miss, I mean it's not like they have signs up or anything rolleyes

The signs are fucking massive, like 6' square massive with pictures of cars, radars and all sorts, they're about 100 yds before the camera and unlike here, if there's a sign there's a camera just round the bend
