PH SW New Years Eve Tunnel Run

After the huge turnout last year, i gather a lot of people like a good excuse to escape the family for a few hours in the festive season!

This is an open invitation to all PHers, the perfect introduction into who we are and what we drive. Also dont forget to bring your kids, im sure they will love a trip out with some exotic cars, and maybe give the missus a few hours relief!

So the plan is to meet at junction 33 services for approx 10am (maybe a bit later if the weather is crappy) and start saying hello to people.
We will leave at approx 10.45am and head down the a4232 to the tunnels in cardiff bay. We will do 2 circuits i.e. 4 tunnels before heading over to the sheltered carpark not far away (if you dont know where this is just ask on the day)

Once there, more time to meet more of the PH communtiy from south wales, maybe you want to go back out to the tunnels in smaller groups, maybe you have to head home for lunch already, perhaps your kids will already be moaning about the cold weather and want to go home, we will see.


Most important of all, sensible hats will remain on all day ok

sounds like a good excuse to book the day off work and get out and about after the xmas excess, just a shame NYE is on a Thursday this year. Last years Sunday turn out was very good.

Think I'm working that day and all the leave has gone. Might pop over if it's quiet in work around lunchtime. May have to do it on my own for the good people of Cardiff who missed the earlier ones. I assume you know they have cameras in the tunnel though...

The Cardiff Bay tunnel. Is that what we're talking about? Not speed cameras, incidentally, just cameras.

Ah, right, there everywhere really, not bothered by them, scameras bother me though

Thought for a second you were suggesting that there were scameras in the tunnels (something that I'd expect at some point)

Ill be up for it providing i can get the day off this will be my first strangely
as have neen a member fr a while so wil be great to meet others . Shame i don't still own the tvr
they make the best rumble through the tunnels.
