The price sounds about right (assuming a couple of grand off in the haggling). I think you just look for the obvious things, namely;

1. What is the owner like? This tells you a lot about how the car has been treated/driven.
2. Is the car well presented, i.e. clean, polished etc. Again, tells you a lot about the owner.
3. The usual checks with the dealer who has serviced the car, previous owner (if any), HPI etc.
4. Look at the details such as trim. All TVR's come with a few imperfections and most consciensious owners try to iron these out.
5. The car should drive nicely with no rattles, vibration or strange noises. The ride is hard but should feel solid and stable.

Good luck!

- I just looked at the advert in the classifieds after writing this and see it is at a dealer so a lot of the above does not really apply. Try and contact the owner to chat about what sort of use the car had.

Assuming its in good nick etc - I think that is a good price for the mileage and its a 55 plate. I don't think it will hang around long....

It looks stunning in black, lovely interior too, I would say that will be sold within the week if its as good as it looks.

I am pretty sure these are standard - there weren't really any options you could have only more expensive paint, audio and the close ratio gearbox....

1. No both are options

2. Make sure it has the best differential and gearbox ratios for you(confirm whats fitted)
Some are geared too high to get optimum performance, some have close ratio etc.

No other options really,
Just think of it like a racing car, being treated and maintained with care.

Good luck

Was this the Sagaris which was up for sale previously at Sebring near Wisbeach? If so it was a very nice car but the showroom was never open at weekends which was no good to me! Plus it was advertised at £1000 more than it is now - it appears to be at a reasonable price.

thats the one i was thinking of that hadnt had its 1k service

agree with graham too on checking the diff gearbox combination.
CR box with a 3.4 diff is a definite no no. I would be looking for a 3.7 diff if possible

I would defo agree regarding the diffs,it makes a hell of a difference, I was lucky mine had a 3.73 with a std gearbox and was bloody quick, its in for service at moment and having a cr box put on it, just hope its worth the money.

Sagari seem to sell very quickly at the moment. Mind, not that suprising when you bear in mind how good they are and how few are around.
