Hiya

My car insurance is up for renewal, and apart from a huge increase in cost from Adrian Flux £706 last year to £1400 renewal with no accidents or convictions, they also dont cover you for track days, so i thought I'd ask you nice people if you know of any companies that include trackdays as standard

Thanks

Both of my cars are insured with HIC and the policies include track day cover, they also happened to be the cheapest company for me.

Also try A manning from henley on thames.
They advertise in the Porsche club mag
They were the cheapest by far on my 968CS with inclusive track day insurance.
Pluses are you don't have to declare each track day you go on as long as they are aproved (i.e. MSV etc)
There excess was the lowest I found on track days, The others wanted 10%, A Manning worked out c.a. 6% of the car value
I hope they do more than Porsches!

Aon will do this - we've got various policies, allowing either 5 free trackdays or on a day-by-day basis.
Call me on 01252 76 7156 and I can look around the market for you.

I'm with AON and the 5 free Track Days WAS the reason that I
didn't look elsewhere come renewal time ........ BUT .......
from this year your Underwriters no longer offer cover at Open Pit Lane days,
only at Sessioned days. Can you explain why please ?

I'm insured through Liverpool Victora (about £270 pa fully comp for an MGF incl full NCD and discount for belonging to the Civil Service Motoring Assoc)

When I asked about track day cover, they adopted that sort of pained patience as if talking to a dim-wit and said ... cover is included, of course ...

No amount of explaining about batting round Silverstone etc would shift them, cover is included as part of the policy - provided one isn't actually racing, or being timed.

So from me, a strong recommendation to try LV through Frizzell at Bournemouth. Totally irresistable if you're a civil servant and can join the CSMA. Service and cover are both excellent.

I'd get that in writing. When I was covered by LV they categorically stated trackday cover was not included. I'm now with HIC on the track car, trackday cover included.

Hagerty Insurance, been with them 3 years now. They provide trackday cover on a track by track basis, you have to pay an extra 10% of your total premium, but that is for an agreed value etc.

Seem pretty good people to deal with as well. There are probaly cheaper around, but if I need them, I want to be with a company I feel I can trust smile

Over the last few years, I've been with Mannings, Sunninghill and Hagerty, and they all do track-day cover in one way or another. Make sure you understand the limitations, though - some of them will only cover events organised by members of the ATDO, and MSV aren't, for example. I'm with Hagerty now, and they seem very good - didn't blink at the mods to the TVR (In fact the bloke said "they all sound very sensible"!), they'll cover any event by a "reputable organisation" and the premium was so much lower than anyone else that the fact they charge 10% of your annual premium per event didn't matter - I only do 2 or 3 trackdays a year.

I've just got hold of an E36 328is coupe for track fun, and I'm looking for an insurer, not for the track day itself but for normal type insurance.

A lot of places are unwilling to help, probably due to the low mileage+modification+third party only+second car type of cover I'll need. Adrian flux are calling back tonight, but is there anyone else likely to give me a decent price?

Currently the CSMA product that LV sell is the only one with track day cover included. So no CSMA, no track days.
