black vxr no more

Just came across a black monaro vxr on a salvage company auction website with what I would think is very little damage by the look of things and the price is at only £2000.
Anybody on here unfortunate enough to have owned LG54 KUV, sorry for your loss. I'm tempted, has anyone bought a crashed car and repaired it? if so what are parts prices like, things like front wings and bonnets.

There is obviously a good reason why it is £2k.

Parts prices are very high. Early last year I had the "pleasure" of a galaxy hitting me. The damage was a hole in the front bumper and one broken headlight. Just the parts were ~£1,500. VXR parts are a LOT higher than standard 'ro parts, probably because of the HSV premium.

I should have mentioned yesterday that the £2K was the current bid on it ( at the moment it is at £3K and has 3 days left to run). it is a 5.7 VXR and by the look of the pics nearly every panel is damaged and a nasty gouge in the front left taking in wing, bumper and bonnet. no real major damage looking at it. I will try and grab some pics later but being a black car the damage didn't come out so clearly in every shot.
If parts are going to be that expensive it might explain the lack of interest in it.
