Pro Evo 2008 - Out today... anyone played it ?

I've got it - and i have to say i think it is better than PES6. But its not hugely better.

Still good to get if you are a footy fan - especially for me as Tottenham are fully licensed on the game!

Agreed.

I like racing games as I cant go out and blat my car about legally, and for free.
I like shooting games because I cannot go and shoot people legally.
I dont see the point in football games, all you need is 2 jumpers....

Its a really good game.

Very similar to Pro evolution Soccer 6. I have always been a fan of the ISS games ever since I played them on the Super Nintendo. Its not meant to be a real life game its meant to be an arcade style game. If your looking for something more realistic go for Fifa but if your wanting a great game playget this one.

I am currently Rangers in the Premiership and sitting 2nd in my mater league.

Commentry had changed this season aswell no more Peter Brackly which some of us will miss and others wont. This Year its Jon Chapman.

Only downside is the replays are hopeless and awful.

I will give it a 9/10 so far (had it for 4 days)but havent had my friends over to play it something that I cant wait for.

Fifa is realistic where as Pro evo is arcade style.

You say you played ISS on Super NES, that was an arcade game, however ISS Pro and PES on the PS and PS2's have always been MUCH more realistic than any FIFA.

PES 2008 on PS3/ XB360/ PS2 is not an arcade game and much more realistic (and better) than FIFA.

Superb game with some really annoying bugs.

Long passing is much easier now so you can switch play in moments. The shooting is more satisfying (no more quarter power shots flying over the bar with top strikers.) The animations also seem crisper and the graphics are better.

The replays are just catastrophically bad, jerky and crap sums them up.

If you enjoyed the last Pro Evo you need to get this one.
