As title really , is it a good idea or not when putting the car back together?
I am talking about the floor pins and either end of the chassis.

Could there be any strength problems?

As well as strength issues they may cause reaction corrosion.

stainless will only cause reaction problems when used in aluminium, but best to use H8 zinc plated (high tensile).

I don't know what you mean by floor pins and chassis pins. Stainless steel is usually not suitable for any highly stressed application. You shouldn't use it for fitting any suspension or brake components, for example. If you're just talking about using it to bolt the body to the chassis I don't see any problem with that.

Cheers Clive,
Pete I do mean the floor bolts.

Are the H8 zonc plated ok for the suspension too?

Is this what the SHpub kits are made of?
Will these not rust?

The SHPUB kits are zinc plated high tensile bolts. Yes they will eventually rust through but typically the chassis will have disintegrated before then. If you want to keep them nice and bright, mist them occassionaly with a 50:50 mix of waxoyl/thinners.
