E91 Bluetooth Failure

Any help welcome before it goes ot the Dealer, 2006 E91, bluetooth phone connection worked fine until Yesterday morning then error message on screen that SOS system had failed and the phone disconnected now I can't switch bluetooth on, I'm selecting the apprproiate part of the menu in settings and it won't let me tick the box?

Had a similar problem, I was told by BMW to delete nearly all my messages from phone inbox and try again, its something to do with the system using phone memory ?
anyway works fine now
