Having been 'sensible' in an E39 M5 for a year, I'm aiming to return to the wonderful world of TVR!

Possibly in a Tamora? I say possibly because I've owned Griff/Chimaeras but I've never even been in a Speed 6 going full chat. I cant be 100% certain a Tamora would float my boat (but I can be 95%!)

Is anyone on here looking to make the opposite move? perhaps interested in a doing a deal?

In all honesty I rate the M5 highly - I'm just left hankering for the roof off aural experience of TVR!!!

Hello,

Did something similar to you. Had a 5L Chim .... Chopped it in and then later got an M5 (E39) ... Very nice car ... Very fast .... Very sleep ... 9 months later I chopped it in for a T350! yumbounce

I have done more miles in the T350 in the two months I have had it than the M5 in the 9 months that I had that! wobble

All I can say is defo go for the Tam ... It will float your boat and tingle your nuts .... Assuming that you are a read meat eating sort wink

the M5 is supremely capable. It is entirely comfortable during cold wet winter months. it just doesnt quite reach TVR 'grin factor' levels during those summer runs. Depends on what you need I guess.

recent changes in my work and at home mean something 'full on' is a possibility again.

Elise, Boxster, 911 all come into consideration - but none really deliver noise, presence, performance AND occasion in TVR proportions. (imho of course!)

See now I'm thinking of going the other direction; T350 to E60. Anyone any experience of going the other way?

Is there a trend here? I also sold an E39 M5 in 2005 to return to the TVR fold after 5 years away. No regrets.

No problem. Fantastic M5 as well....well worth every penny you are asking. I am going to have to get myself one of those at some time. So many cars to own ...so little time!
