First time out in new Clio
Discussion
And wow, what a car this is, I have never driven anything that grips like this.
It was a day at Snetterton and we took the car for testing.
Best time was being taken out in it by a proper racer, used to do the Clio Cup, second best was seeing an Exige and deciding to see if I could keep up with it, it just ran rings round it.
Caterhams much the same, cornring about the same, but when Rob took to the wheel, he had em.
We will be entering Britcar next year so will keep you informed of our progress.
We have lots to learn but why I never did this before now I will never know.

Although it's not a Cup Racer - I tested a new 197 not long back, just cos I was a bit bored really heh, and the salesman was more interested in having a look round the Vee than trying to extort any money from me. It was actually very impressive. Had the normal gripes I seem to have with new cars, seating position too high, seem to be sat miiiiiiiiiiiiiles from the windscreen. Went quite well though, demo had 4k miles on the clock and felt to be loosening up nicely, and the brakes were absolutely awesome. All in all, I quite liked it

To be honest I am thinking of getting one as a run around, the one with the Cup chassis etc.

I am supposed to be doing a track day soon in the Noble however, it just leaves me cold now having taken the Cup round, yes, it is that good.
Straight line speed no where near, round the twisty bits, WOW.
Leaves the M400 standing.

If you are quick you might be able to get an F27, if not and you want the cup chassis then it will have to be the new Cup, which lacks quite a lot of the standard 197 bits, some of which you can add on. You should join www.renaultsport.co.uk, there are a number of dealers who are always willing to deal so to speak.
