Great pictures, lucky man to get the chance to take pics in the pit lane!

The first picture of the Corvette is my favourite!

They are good but the headlights appear to have underexposed the 1st, 3rd and last ones.

dear paul,

as pit access is severely limited, i have intentionally underexposed to offer my client the impression of a 24 hour race.

once the sun goes down, i have other plans ..... biggrin

The only thing that spoils these is the jagged edges...if they were posted at 750 pixels instead of 758 they'd be top notch.

Martin.

what does that entail, martin ?

they are originally saved as 800 wide pixels .... whatever that means.

When posted on PH at 750 pixels straight lines are straight, but if posted larger as yours are, because they are compressed again, straight lines can become jagged and spoil the overall effect.

Martin.

whats the black thing, not a radical is it?
Great shots. Must have been a buzz to be in the pit lane.

Wow the pictures came out amazing, they really captured all the drama that unfolds at pit stops in a 24hr race. Again I'm gonna share the same opinion that I love the Corvette one. I just love to see drama and lots of action in a single shot. I noticed that the 1st (cloest to the camrea) some wot over shot his pit, and came in at an unusual diagional angle, was there a reason for this?

Wow the pic, take me back to my 1st LeMans experience this year, dammn wos those Corvettes loud! The Audi was surprisingly quiet for a diesel, it wistled pass you.

Your a lucky man to get pit access, how ever did you manage it

hello,

i) the black thingy is the "racing for holland", dome judd with jan lammers aboard.

ii) the two corvettes arrived unexpectedly in the pit lane for wet tyres, i believe.

iii) most of the pit lane stuff is shot with the 24-105, but yes, i had the 70-200 in there too.

many thanks for the comments.
