Guess I'll be the first to say I despise it then.
Sorry but for me it just doesn't bear any resemblance to a Lamborghini.
Sure they've always had somewhat unique styling, that's what makes them special externally, and until now they've barely put a foot wrong as far as I'm concerned. The reventon however I just can't stomach.
To me at least, it just seems to have been created for no particular reason, is pitched at selected buyers who will never drive it, is kept to such limited numbers that doing so is almost blasphemous and philistinic, and above all it comes across as nothing more than a garish take on the LP640. All a bit pointless really.
Perhaps just me refusing to see my school boy dreams of Lambos of old thwarted by evolution, but I see it as nothing more than a hideously expensive bodykit which serves only to ruin the beautiful car it's mechanicals are borrowed from. Naturally with a few novel touches and very restricted production volume thrown in to make the million euro price tag easier to justify.
Leave the vulgar styling and "oil baron only" price tags to the (albeit incredibly impressive) Veyrons, Lamborghinis are living, breathing, things of beauty.
That said, I suppose they could probably call it art, it is without question evocative, and if comments here are anything to go by it certainly casts conroversy and brings about discussion after all.
