Not everyone can spend all day every day perusing PH. As such, sometimes someone will post something (a news story, a picture, an anecdote, etc) which has, horror of horrors, been posted earlier. However, not everyone was around earlier. Equally, not everyone can be arsed to look through hundreds of posts. So when I see an interesting topic I will click on it. Also, what's wrong with reposts? I've watched Faulty Towers dozens of times and it's still good! Equally, I will never tire of the hypntic photo of the local Libdems (you know the one) because every nuance of that photo tells a story - it's a masterpiece which Van Gogh would be proud of. Such reposts should be encouraged not discouraged. And, by the way, I know exactly what the next reply to this thread will be. It will begin with "r" no doubt.

I would point you to the multiple Dragons Den threads that are currently running, both of which featured on the 1st page this very evening. It can become confusing.

I always get bored watching faulty towers, you watch them for ages thinking they might fall down and it just never happens.

Doubtless it's confusing to anyone below an IQ of, say, 50. To the rest of us it's simply a repost of someone who's not a PH geek.

I feel your pain Shrubbery, but you are hereby found guilty of not devoting 75% of your life to PH, even asking for advice on how to breathe, eat, have sex, heal those rashes

Repost and spelling police are just sad pathetic self appointed people who probably have very little power over their own lives and force what they think is right on others in a place they don't own.

Just like the old git that flashes at you when you overtake them legally in a car, they are best ignored IMO yes

Yes, but you wouldn't have several TV's & VCR's lined up watching them all at once though, would you?

Nothing wrong with reposts, if they are a few pages in from page one, or a day or so old. As you say, things can get missed, fair enough.

What gets me is the way that someone will come across a story, and immediately wets themselves thinking "Oooh! oooh! oooh! I must log onto PH and post this urgently, they'll love it" but there are already three or four threads on the first page about it, made even more noticeable by the padlocks to the left.

Ocassionally, you will get them all grouped up together, near the top of the page, in a huddle, with folks posting on any or all of them. And then, some tt comes along and posts yet another fresh one!
