i just noticed on the list of cerbies thread, someone mentioned lots seemed to have sold up...

so i was wondering... how long you have had your cerb or how you had it before selling?

also what the highs and lows have been while being a cerb owner

i've had mine for 2.5yrs and 15,000 miles

high - trip to le mans in 06... awsome

lows - none really

Coming on 6 months, 7k miles.

Trip to the Nurburgring, hooning around the country and listening to those pops and bangs biggrin

I was just going to keep it as a summer toy and replace it come winter, but i'm completely hooked. Will be in the collection forever now.

7 years, 70k miles... never selling up, instead, we will merely be expanding the fleet eventually...

Owned it for 5 Months so far, roughly 2,500 miles. One engine rebuild
Lots of smiles, whoops, pops, bangs, Whhhooaa and various other noises.
Plan to go to Ireland, as well as the Nurburgring.

Downside?? Reversing into the garage and watching in shock as a roof rack
bar that i clipped, falls on to the drivers door. Ouch.

18 months and a fabulous 12,000 miles! Most of it highs, but if I have to pick a single trip then Cerburgring 2007! clap

Lows, well, if it's got a problem that stops me being able to drive it really! Hasn't happened much though and we have always come home together and under our own power! spin

On my second one now. Had it for 16 months.

Lows - Initial problems in first few months, Master Cylinder, Slave Cylinder, New gearbox.

Highs - Lots, SP Exhaust, followed by a bespoke remap by Jools, but the 'highest' were my 2 trips to S of France and back, loved it !

Owned it for 7 months and had 103 trouble free miles!

Highs - Picking it up, the looks it got as i drove it home. bounce
Lows - The bang and crunch that comes from the timing chain deciding it's had enough as i get it home on day one. The garage telling me that after 5 months of having the car the engine (after being rebuilt) has had to be taken out again again as it's not working. oh and having everyone at work each and every day asking "how's the car?" banghead
