mmmmmmm all is well sort of, frown The RAC were very good and took the car up to Guglielmi Motorsport in Daventry for me and they droped me off in Sunny Cambridge on the way.The problem appears to be caused by Oil Surge the Rover V8 has a bad design when it comes to the oil pick-up system. Once there is no oil to pick up a vacum is caused and the whole system has to be re-primed. Just a bit worried about the Big End ! eek
Everything else worked fine, Mind you i was tempted to go over the 4,000 rpm running in speed, but managed to fight it off.. Coram is the problem all the way round to the Russels the oil is forced up to the left of the sump no pick up there so hence ............ The Big End Worry, today was more of a shake down as i am suposed to go to the Ring next week for the RMA Event for two days. But Fingers crossed i will hear from the Garage mid morning about the engine.
The ultima was going as strong as ever out there, realy dose fly down the back straight do you have 5 or 6 gears to play with ?
Glad you like the "Old Mg"

He used the camera in the 964 today, where I was instructing his gf.

It has 5 gears, that we use, but the ratios are way too long!

The MG looked good out there! smile

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that about the 964. Particularly for corners where 2nd would be too low a gear so I have to use 3rd which is really too high.

I was referring to the Ultima, as per the guys question above smile

But yes, the 964 gears ratios are not too good; the car could use some more power generally, as the chassis is pretty good!

dave, you'll have to let me know next time you're off to Snett' for a track day, might join you, would be nice to see if I can get anywhere near a V8 (I doubt it)

Would have loved to have seen the Ultima, still not seen one moving faster than car park speed yet (PF2007 and Stoneleigh) I bet they're a tad exciting.

Had a look at your car on the Mg Section ( show me your car ) have to say it looks the Nuts realy nice, Love the way it sits ! woohoo
also i see you managed to get the Sebring arches to fit. The set i had were a real pain in the Bum so i sent them back and decided to go without them.
