T350 Oil pump query?
Discussion
Right i've been on here before to query the reliability of the t350 as i am considering one as a w end car and I am getting the impression the main problem is oil pump/pressure failure leading to huge engine failure. Am I right and if this is the most common failure and cause of untold misery is it not possible to simply upgrade the oil pump at the start rather than later in the day?
Any help appreciated.

No particular weakness in oil pump, though engineers commonly suggest higher oil flow to valvegear would be an improvement. Not achievable just by boosting pressure though. However, most T350 engines are racking up good mileages, as long as treated well and not overheated etc - suggest search threads more fully. Maybe confusing with earlier S6 engines?
