Whats the advantages of a cone filter assembly over a standard airbox setup with a decent panel filter. Asking as mine has the former and TBH I think the standard airbox looks alot tidier having seen a few over last weekends dyno day.... bear in mind its a 122 SC car as well.

Not sure if you saw mine.

I have the new cone and it aids cooling quite noticeably.

AM04ARO - When you say aids cooling I assume you are talking about the intake air temp not the coolant?
I'm running a harrop 122 12psi with intercooler and the intake air often gets into the high 50's.
I've been thinking or ways to try and get that down, with fresh air ducting bonnet vents/scoops etc.
Roger says as long as its below 65 degrees its OK.

any chance of a picture of your air box/cones ??

has anyone got the wortec large panel box filter ??

Will take a photo at the weekend.

I got mine done at Monkfish and believe it is the Wortec set up quoted on their site. Bigger box and I thought a cone type filter, certainly not flat and it does bring intake temps down. What I noticed is the revs would go to normal much more quickly rather than staying up to force air through to cool down.

Old topic, but I assume this is the box we're talking about?

Behind the black cover its all open to the back of the light and below. By the sounds of it I need to stick with the aftermarket stuff although the standard airbox does look tidier.
