Great day, not that much track time but about as much as I could handle with my dodgy arm
and for £5 you can hardly moan.
The DPRAC really is no brainer if you go to more than 2 club level race days you've got your mebership money back, and then a lovely sunny Autumn track day for a fiver.
Love the randomness of the DPRAC day, no other trackday do you see X5's sharing tarmac with battered old Cavs and Sierras, 911's and a pair of TVR's trying to avoid the noise police.
Look forward to the pics teaboysissorhands.

It was good to see everyone today.
Also to chat to groups of people with mixed interests and some fascinating history.
Great weather too. Despite my best efforts I still have tread on the front tyres that I thought would not survive LAST year's event! I thought keeping them squealing on every corner on every lap would do for them but it seems not. Damn clever these French designers. Must try harder ...
One of the great things about the DPRAC days is the mix of people around. That and the fact that for a nominal fiver people don't feel the need to hang around to the end of the day. Being the wrong side of the clocks change I guess we lost an hour of daylight this year but then there were very few cars out in the last session I drove and that made it all excellent value for money!
Er, hmm, hold on.
"It was a dreadful day and not to be recommended to anyone. Far too many people on track and bangers carving up exotica all over the place. And vice versa. I will only be renewing my membership next year under protest ... etc.."
So. plans for tomorrow.
1. Get new tyres fitted.
2. Buy more petrol.
3. See if I can recover some braking power from somewhere.
4. Check out the prices of upgrades for the stopping and going departments. (Again)
5. Re-check the listings for used Atoms in case I have inadvertently been adding an extra nought to the prices.
6. Try to work out just how that BMW X5 was so quick.
