i've always been a fan of the skylines - not because of looks. The engines were built to be tuned and can make massive power with very little effort. The gearboxes take the power too.
they do handle like a barge though !

i heard a rumour the new one uses a v6 3.8 based on the 350Z engine (not a straight 6 like the old one)

1700kg+ & 4wd & turbos make possibly the least attractive car ever to me.
Have you seen the ring vid? Loads of turn in oversteer to make it round there fast, presumably because if not it is an understeery barge, if they release it like that the average skyline buyer will be in the wall before it is run in, I bet the production version isn't anywhere near as quick round there, just like the standard R33 couldn't match the 7:59 that Nissan claimed.

I'm sure with all the trick diffs etc that it can be driven like that relatively safely. Too heavy though Have you seen the ring vid? Sounds like it could be worth a punt at that money.

When you step back and think about it, its crazy that Nissan apparently think they can charge more for this than an e92 m3. For some reason the mags compare to a 911 turbo when the m3 is a much more obvious comparison imho.
