Halfords-Sony unit for £100....

Not in the market for an expensive unit, but saw that Halfords were advertising a tidy looking Sony unit for about £100.

Anyone any experience of this bit of kit?

Is it worth it and what are the short-comings?

Do I wait until I can justify a Tom Tom or Garmin?

it's s-l-o-w to operate, nice enough to look at and cos of the jelly mount it pretty much sticks anywhere, you also get a free carry case too.

depending on what you're going to use it for, I'd say save a little bit more cash and get a TomTom One GB, it's faster, easier to use, more polished and generally better...

Not a bad unit, but fiddly to use and asks for the street name after the postcode. Not bad for £100 though especially with the carry case and a £10 voucher at the moment
